OUTPUT DEVICE

The output unit is device where the result of the program is obtained. The most commonly output devices are:

1- THE VISUAL DISPLAY UNIT (VDU)/MONITOR
2- PRINTER
3- SOUNDBOX.

VDU/MONITOR - A monitor is an electronic output device used to display information being entered and processed on a computer. The primary use of monitor is to display images, text, video and graphics information generated by the computer. Monitor are two types:
a- CRT (CATHODE RAY TUBE)
b- TFT (THIN FILL TRANSISTOR)

PRINTER - Printers are primary output devices used to prepare permanent documents (hard copy) for human use. Printers are classified by how they print and by how fast they operate.

IMPACT PRINTER - It operates like a typewriter, pressing a type face against paper and inked ribbon.

Daisy wheel printer - The daisy wheel printer as the name suggests, has a character embossed on it. A motor spins the wheel rapidly and when the desired character spins to the correct position a print hammer strikes it against an inked ribbon to produce the output.

The main advantage of daisy wheel printer is the excellent quality of print produced by it.
And the disadvantage of this printer is its speed (25 to 40 characters per second).

Dot matrix printer - The dot matrix printer has a print head which consists of arrangement of pins. These pins strike against the inked ribbon to produce a series of dots.

NON-IMPACT PRINTER - Character formatting takes place without any direct striking of paper. The non-impact character printers use thermal, electrostatic, chemical and inkjet technology i.e. laser printer and inkjet printer.

Laser printer - A laser printer is a type of printer that uses a laser beam to produce high quality text and graphics on paper. It works by using a combination of electrostatically charged toner and a heated fuser to transfer the toner into the paper.

Inkjet printer - An inkjet printer is a computer peripheral that produces hard copies of a text document or photo by spraying droplets of ink onto paper.

IN HINDI-आउटपुट डिवाइस

आउटपुट यूनिट वह डिवाइस है जहाँ प्रोग्राम का परिणाम प्राप्त होता है। सबसे सामान्य आउटपुट डिवाइसेज निम्नलिखित हैं:

1- विजुअल डिस्प्ले यूनिट (VDU)/मॉनिटर
2- प्रिंटर
3- साउंडबॉक्स

VDU/मॉनिटर - मॉनिटर एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक आउटपुट डिवाइस है जिसका उपयोग कंप्यूटर पर दर्ज की जा रही और प्रोसेस की जा रही जानकारी को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए किया जाता है। मॉनिटर का मुख्य उपयोग कंप्यूटर द्वारा उत्पन्न छवियों, पाठ, वीडियो और ग्राफिक्स जानकारी को प्रदर्शित करना है। मॉनिटर दो प्रकार के होते हैं:
a- CRT (कैथोड रे ट्यूब)
b- TFT (थिन फिल्म ट्रांजिस्टर)

प्रिंटर - प्रिंटर प्राथमिक आउटपुट डिवाइस हैं जिनका उपयोग स्थायी दस्तावेज़ (हार्ड कॉपी) तैयार करने के लिए किया जाता है। प्रिंटरों को उनकी प्रिंटिंग विधि और संचालन गति के अनुसार वर्गीकृत किया जाता है।

इम्पैक्ट प्रिंटर - यह टाइपराइटर की तरह काम करता है, जिसमें टाइप फेस को कागज और इंकड रिबन के खिलाफ दबाया जाता है।

डेज़ी व्हील प्रिंटर - डेज़ी व्हील प्रिंटर में एक चरित्र (character) उभरा होता है। एक मोटर तेजी से व्हील को घुमाती है और जब वांछित कैरेक्टर सही स्थिति पर आता है, तो एक प्रिंट हथौड़ा (print hammer) उसे इंकड रिबन के खिलाफ मारता है ताकि आउटपुट प्राप्त किया जा सके।

डेज़ी व्हील प्रिंटर का मुख्य लाभ इसकी उत्कृष्ट प्रिंट गुणवत्ता है।
और इस प्रिंटर की कमी इसकी गति है (25 से 40 कैरेक्टर प्रति सेकंड)।

डॉट मैट्रिक्स प्रिंटर - डॉट मैट्रिक्स प्रिंटर में एक प्रिंट हेड होता है जिसमें पिनों की व्यवस्था होती है। ये पिन इंकड रिबन के खिलाफ वार करती हैं ताकि डॉट्स की एक श्रृंखला द्वारा आउटपुट तैयार किया जा सके।

नॉन-इम्पैक्ट प्रिंटर - इस प्रकार के प्रिंटर में पेपर पर प्रत्यक्ष मार के बिना कैरेक्टर का फॉर्मेटिंग होता है। नॉन-इम्पैक्ट कैरेक्टर प्रिंटर थर्मल, इलेक्ट्रोस्टेटिक, केमिकल और इंकजेट तकनीकों का उपयोग करते हैं, जैसे कि लेज़र प्रिंटर और इंकजेट प्रिंटर।

लेज़र प्रिंटर - लेज़र प्रिंटर एक प्रकार का प्रिंटर है जो कागज पर उच्च गुणवत्ता वाला टेक्स्ट और ग्राफिक्स उत्पन्न करने के लिए लेज़र बीम का उपयोग करता है। यह इलेक्ट्रोस्टैटिक चार्ज्ड टोनर और एक हीटेड फ्यूज़र के संयोजन द्वारा काम करता है, जो टोनर को कागज पर स्थानांतरित करता है।

इंकजेट प्रिंटर - इंकजेट प्रिंटर एक कंप्यूटर पेरिफेरल है जो टेक्स्ट दस्तावेज़ या फ़ोटो की हार्ड कॉपी बनाने के लिए कागज पर इंक की बूंदों का छिड़काव करता है।
